Estimate Content - Project descriptions, dimensions, and specifications you submit - Trade categories, quality tiers, markup percentages, and ZIP codes - Modifications you make to estimates through follow-up messages - Client information (name, address, phone, email) if you add it to an estimate (Pro tier) - Generated PDF documents

Preferences - Default ZIP code, markup percentage, and quality tier - Preferred app language and PDF language - Subscription tier and billing status

Communications - Messages you send us via email or support channels - Survey responses, feedback, and testimonials you voluntarily provide

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, we automatically collect:

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, estimates generated, time spent, actions taken
• Device and technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, referrer URL, timestamps
• Session data: session identifiers, authentication tokens, cookies, and local/session storage data used to keep you logged in and maintain your preferences
• Error logs: information about errors or crashes, including diagnostic data

2.3 Information from Third-Party Services

• Google OAuth (if you sign in with Google): your name, email address, and Google account identifier
• Stripe (for paid subscriptions): payment status, subscription details, and limited billing metadata. We do not receive or store your full credit card number or bank account details — Stripe handles payment card data directly under its own privacy policy

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service, including generating estimates, saving your data, rendering PDFs, and maintaining your account
• Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe
• Communicate with you, including sending service announcements, billing notices, support responses, and product updates
• Improve the Service, including analyzing usage patterns, fixing bugs, and developing new features
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized use
• Comply with legal obligations, including tax reporting, responding to lawful requests, and maintaining required records

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising to third parties.

4. AI Processing of Your Content

When you generate or modify an estimate, the content you submit (including project descriptions, specifications, and modifications) is transmitted to third-party artificial intelligence service providers that process the content to generate responses. These providers process your content under their own privacy and data handling policies.

We take steps to: - Transmit content to AI providers over encrypted connections - Select providers with commercial terms that prohibit using your content to train their general models, to the extent reasonably available - Avoid transmitting unnecessary personal information to AI providers

However, by using the Service, you acknowledge that your estimate content is shared with AI providers for processing. Do not submit highly sensitive personal information, protected health information, or confidential third-party data through estimate fields.

5. How We Share Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

6.1 Access, Update, and Delete

6.2 Communication Preferences

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email. You cannot opt out of transactional emails (such as billing notices, security alerts, or service announcements) while you maintain an active account.

Residents of certain U.S. states (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and others) may have specific rights regarding their personal information under applicable state privacy laws. These may include:

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

• Active accounts: We retain your account data, estimates, and preferences indefinitely while your account is active.
• Canceled or deleted accounts: Following account cancellation or deletion, we retain your data for 90 days to allow for possible account restoration. After 90 days, we permanently delete your account data from our active systems.
• Backups: Backup copies may persist for a reasonable additional period (typically up to 30 days after active deletion) before being overwritten in the normal backup rotation.
• Billing records: We retain billing and transaction records for up to 7 years to comply with tax and accounting obligations.
• Logs: Application and security logs are retained for up to 90 days and may be retained longer where necessary to investigate security incidents.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encrypted data storage at rest
• Password hashing using industry-standard algorithms
• Role-based access controls and authentication
• Regular security monitoring
• Principle of least privilege for internal access

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.
